Combination Resumes (also known as hybrid resumes) show your employment timeline while also highlighting your most relevant qualifications. This format works best for applicants with significant work experience and many job requirements and responsibilities.
A prospective employer does not need an exhaustive list of everything you have done in a previous job. When describing your duties at a previous job, highlight your accomplishments and, whenever you are able to, quantify them with hard numbers on your job resume. It is all good and well that you led a team of six salespeople, but it is a lot more powerful to say that sales for your team increased 50 percent under your leadership.
Space on your resume is limited. Often including references (or references available upon request) is a waste of valuable real estate. If the employer wants references, they will ask.
