Space on your resume is limited. Often including references (or references available upon request) is a waste of valuable real estate. If the employer wants references, they will ask. Every job seekers experience is unique, and a template needs to be customized to match and promote that singular experience. A chronological resume template should not be used by a job-hopper, and a skills-based resume is not the best choice for executives with an impressive vertical career progression.
